Coast Mountain College - Information Technology strives to deliver CMTN employees the best possible technology experience within our budget. To this end, we maintain a fleet of standard equipment choices, all of which we are happy to provide and support. Please find below, our list of standard equipment that CMTN IT deploys and supports:
Use of these devices implies an agreement to the Coast Mountain College Acceptable Use of Information Resources Policy as well as acceptance of professional and personal responsibility for the physical security of any such devices entrusted to you during your employment with Coast Mountain College. Ongoing personal use of CMTN devices is prohibited.

The HP ProBook 450 is our standard laptop computer. This is the best choice for employees who will be carrying their work with them between offices, classrooms or campuses. |
- HP USB-C docking station;

Docking stations allow employees using a laptop, to plug in and use common peripherals such as monitors, keyboard, mouse, etc. This is ideal for employees who are using a laptop and have a permanent office where they can plug in to more comfortably make use of it.

As the Coast Mountain College standard tablet device, Surface Pro 8 are available by request with accompanying business case*.
Requests must be submitted by an employee's direct reporting manager or delegate with an accompanying business case that captures the *reasoning and justification for touch display and convertible tablet use. See: What is a Business Case?

| NOTE: This is not a peripheral device such as the Wacom tablets available to borrow from the Library. The Surface Pro 8 is functionally equivalent to a laptop and therefore employees who are approved for one should be prepared to make use of it as their primary workstation. |

HP Z2 Tower Workstation is the CMTNs standard high-performance workstation, available by request with accompanying business case*.
Requests must be submitted by an employee's direct reporting manager or delegate with an accompanying business case that provides the *reasoning and justification for video editing, or other processor-intensive applications.

All of the items listed here are subject to supply chain availability from vendors. Please allow a minimum of one week for fulfillment of requests which we currently have available in stock and three months minimum for items which we do not have in stock.
