Welcome

Welcome to the Coast Mountain College Services Portal. Through this site, you can request assistance and find answers to your questions.

Only CMTN staff can create tickets. Students are requested to contact Learner Services.

The Services Tab provides a single location for IT Services, Facilities Services, with additional departments to be added soon. You can view a description of the service, eligibility information, a list of related services and articles, and how to access or create a request.

The Knowledge Base is a centralized collection of information about the services and applications offered. This includes known error messages, how-to guides, troubleshooting information, FAQs, training materials, and more.

Multi-Factor Authentication

WHAT IS MFA?

CMTN’s Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) refers to using two or more independent items to verify your identity, typically something you know (i.e., your CMTN computing ID and password) and something you have (i.e., a time-based code).

CMTN Information Technology is pleased to announce Multi-Factor Authentication Service for Microsoft 365 applications such as Email, Share-Point, One-Drive and more. It is an effective way to increase protection for end-user accounts against common threats like phishing attacks, credential harvesting, and account takeovers (un-authorized access). It adds another layer of security to the login process by requiring users to enter two or more pieces of evidence — or factors — to prove they’re who they say they are.

Currently, there are 2 methods available for CMTN MFA Service.
-Microsoft Authenticator App – over cell-phone
-Receive code as an SMS – over cell-phone
